Cellist Dalia Levy's Bio / About Me

A passionate young cellist and dedicated educator, Dalia brings a beautiful blend of artistry, patience, and enthusiasm to her lessons.

Born into a musical family, Dalia began her cello studies at an early age and quickly fell in love with the instrument’s expressive voice. She has trained with renowned teachers including Irene Sharp, Jihee Kim, and Vicky Wang, and is currently studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Jennifer Culp.

Dalia has performed with top youth ensembles such as the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra and the Golden State Youth Orchestra, where she served as principal cellist. An avid chamber musician, she has performed works by Dvořák, Brahms, and Saint-Saëns, and continues to share her love for classical music through both performance and teaching.

Fluent in Spanish and Russian, Dalia connects easily with students and families from diverse backgrounds. She began teaching during the pandemic and has since developed a nurturing, student-centered approach that helps young musicians gain confidence, focus, and joy in their playing.

​

Dalia teaches students of all levels—from complete beginners to advancing young cellists—emphasizing musical expression, strong technical foundation, and, most importantly, the joy of making music together.

​

Currently, Dalia teaches in Sunnyvale on Sundays and in San Francisco during the other days of the week. She is also a teacher at Opus 11 School of Music in Santa Clara, CA.
